School Council

The School Council provides an opportunity for parents and staff members to work in partnership to discuss important educational issues and practices, to set goals and to make plans which ensure a high quality education for the children of LaPerle School. Staff and parents work closely together to build community connections, enhance communication and nurture positive learning opportunities for all children at LaPerle. We welcome new members any time throughout the year to become engaged in the dialogue.

Meetings are held during the year to give all parents an opportunity to share their ideas, to provide input, and to learn more about the learning happening at LaPerle School.

All parents and community members are invited to attend an annual general meeting in October to elect the five parent representatives, who serves for a one year term, running November to November.

The agenda for School Council Meetings is shared via SchoolZone with each family prior to the meeting as well as the minutes are posted after each meeting for families to review.

Parent Advisory Association (PAA)

In addition to the School Council, the PAA connects families with the school, providing a voice in the life of the school. Our parents are a vital part of the school community at LaPerle. The relationships we build between home and school provide strength and lasting value for our children and our future.
