Instructional Focus

LaPerle School is a caring school community that focuses on literacy, language development, numeracy and the success of the whole student. We stress the importance of reading, writing and numeracy from K-6 beginning in Kindergarten and strive to improve student learning in all areas. Phonemic awareness, phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary building and fluency grounds our work in reading instruction. At LaPerle School, academic achievement is our top priority. We are proud of our students’ results on Provincial Achievement Tests, Higher Level of Achievement Tests (HLATS) and Division wide Math Assessments. LaPerle students as a whole consistently do their best and work hard to achieve their goals. Every day is busy and full of learning opportunities which build together to form a strong educational foundation!
