The School Council provides an opportunity for parents and staff members to work in partnership to discuss important educational issues and practices, to set goals and to make plans which ensure a high quality education for the children of LaPerle School.
Meetings are held during the year to give all parents an opportunity to share their ideas, to provide input, and to learn more about the educational program being offered at LaPerle School.
All parents and community members are invited to attend a town hall meeting in October to elect the five parent representatives, who serves for a one year term, running November to November.
The agenda for School Council Town Hall Meetings is sent home to each family prior to the meeting.
Parent Advisory Association (PAA)
In addition to the School Council, the PAA has evolved into a vehicle which supports the school through fundraising.
